I have a Nook First Edition. My mother lives in a remote area in another state. She loves to read but the library close to her is very small and she needs large print books. She does not have a computer. I am wanting to purchase a Nook for her and download my books for her from my account. She needs just a reader...nothing fancy or in color. Something easy to use that will still allow for typeface to be enlarged. What do you recommend? I would love for her to have access to purchase her own books too but she would need 3G? She doesn't have internet capabilities either. Thanks.

My mom loves her Simple Touch. Its top font size is maybe 25% larger than the top size available on the First Edition.
You could get the NST for your mom. If you and she like the same books you just register it on your account and she'd have the same books available. I guess what you would have to do is set it up, download all the books, and send it to her, if she doesn't have any WiFi available. They don't have a 3G model for the NST, but maybe there's somewhere near her that she could get WiFi access to download, if you go online and purchase more books for her?
