I have a folder within my screensavers with all my pictures to use on my nook. At first, it worked perfectly. It would change the picture every time I turned my nook to "sleep" mode. Then, I put more pictures on it, and it did the same thing. But, on one of the later pictures, it would constantly stay on that picture. I even went to settings and changed it and changed it back to that screensavers folder. Thinking it was the specific picture, I removed that photo, and added a few more pictures to the folder. Now, I am having the same problem...it stays on ONE picture!!
I have done everything. Turned my nook completely off, changed it in the settings, removed the specific picture, made sure they were ALL JPEG's., etc.
Please help!!

I am having the exact same issue. I had no problems with adding the photos and setting up my wall paper, but the screen saver stays on the same picture. I have deleted all of the pictures and added them again but it still stays on one picture. If I delete the picture it staying on it will go to the next picture, but will then stay on that one and not change. I have tried turning off and restarting to the nook but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

The Nook changes them on its own, and the timing seems to key on when it wakes itself up from sleep to do a quick online check.
Don't worry -- it's not exactly a 'screen saver' because the screen doesn't need saving from burn-in. It's just something displayed to let you know the Nook is still on (even if actually sleeping).
Be nice if they had a control to let you set how often the pictures change, but that feature is probably a ways down the road... right along with the 'theme changer' the user manual says we're supposed to have for the touchscreen controls.

I found that every time I manually put my nook to sleep the picture changed. Is that not the case?

I had that problem as well. Finally I removed the folder from the nook and took all the pictures and saved them in png format (they were jpgs). I loaded them back on and everything works normally again. I am not sure why that worked or if there is a simpler way, but thought I'd share.

was there a certain 'threshold' that you experienced this problem at?
Perhaps their is some odd coding limit that needs to be fixed.. like 5 pics, 7 pic or 10 pics limits.
Probably some bad coding that creates this.

I don't think so. I kept deleting "suspect" pictures and the problem continued. It just froze on a different pic. I have 15 in there now. The pictures I used were run through photoshop. Maybe something got screwed up when they were saved. But all is good now! ![]()

Ever since I put my own screensavers on, they always stay locked on one and don't rotate. I'll try the .png solution mentioned above, but I have about 50 pictures so it might take me awhile to reformat
I'll post back with experiences...

The key point here is to create named sub-directories under Screen Savers folder. Each subdirectory is a collection that will appear on your list of screen savers.
Then put SEVERAL pictures in each subdirectory. If the directory you select on the nook only holds one picture it will not rotate
JPG work just as well as PNG, there is no need to convert them.

One recommendation is to reformat the picture to the recommended specs. 800 by 600 pixels. You might also switch to grayscale but color does work. There are probably some limits on how large a picture it can handle or how different than the 4x3 image size and still be displayed.
