Security password issue to connect to personal hotspot

I am setting up a new Verizon MiFi hotspot to connect.  It is WPA2 security.  The Nook refuses to connect.  Since every other device we have connects just fine, do I need a software update to the Nook?  It has been a while since we've connected.  Currently running 1.7.0.  Can I connect at a B&N store to update, if this is the issue?  Thanks.

Update - I restarted both the Nook and the MiFi and this time, the connection sailed through.  No longer have an issue.Thanks.
