I got a Simple Touch for Christmas and would like to sell my N1E to fund a cover and books and stuff. I have someone interested, but asked if it came with any books. I don't mind keeping the books on there that I've bought/sideloaded...but I need to make sure it's de-registered to me and there's no way possible for this person to get at my info or order things from my account.
Is it possible to wipe it to factory settings but still retain the books??
Any other things I need to make sure to do before I hand it over?
Thank you!

Just de-register it via settings, and it wipes away all personal information and books bought through B&N. The books that were sideloaded will remain there.

Of course, any content you've bought and wish to pass on may be DRM-locked with personal information you do not wish to share.
Also, unless the content is DRM free and out of copyright, you are going down a very slippery slope in terms of legal issues such as the DMCA and copyright. But that's a whole 'nother discussion.
