Separate accounts for NOOK and Android App?

I haven't used any of the NOOK free apps before. My company recently exchanged our Blackberrys for Android phones. We are allowed to use the phones and apps for personal use with certain restrictions. For example, we had to sign off on a list of restrictions including that we can't download any sort of games, moves, etc. that contain sexually graphic or suggestive materials, or have on the phone any materials that could be viewed as offensive based on race, gender, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.

My reading list is fairly tame, but there could be something on my NOOK that falls within this category in someone's opinion. But still, I would like to occasionally read books on my Android phone while I am eating lunch by myself. I'm on my own time and a lot of times I don't have my NOOK with me.

So I was thinking about setting up a separate bn account for the Android so that I could only read books on it that I think wouldn't violate this policy.

Is it possible to use one account for my NOOK and one account for the Android phone? Will this create any problems when it comes to using my NOOK? My NOOK works great and I definitely don't want to do anything that will mess that up.

Re: Separate accounts for NOOK and Android App?

You create a separate account for the Android app, but any books you download to it won't be downloaded automatically to your NOOK. You'll have to side load them. You also won't be able to download any of the books on your current account to your phone. The Android app doesn't allow side loading, so you'd have to buy them again.

However, you can log in to the Android app with your current account and only download books as you want to read them. It will download the covers for everything, but not all the books. It will only download the five most recent automatically. It's also a simple matter to archive books you no longer want on there. You can also can choose to log out after each reading session and that will remove every ebook from your phone. The last page read will be kept for when you log in and download a book again. The last is what I would do.
