I frequently travel to countries and areas where 3G and Wifi are unavailable. What I would like to do is sync my library on my Nook Classic without using the above features. I know I can sideload my books and have them show up under My Documents, but I have literally hundreds of techncial manuals and PDF's. I would like my B&N bought books to show up under the B&N Library so that I can access my store bought books faster and more efficiently than my sideloaded items. It seems trivial, but due to the amount of books, the Nook takes a little bit of time to load the entire list. i would like to be able to skip that loading if I just want to read some fiction I bought from B&N. If anybody knows if this is possible please let me know. I've tried using the Nook for PC app and Calibre, but I can only get things to show up under My Documents. Thank you for any help you're able to give.
You would need to sync (and download) your B&N books via 3G/wifi before leaving for a location that doesn't have it.
What about getting a microSD card and putting your technical manuals and PDFs on that?
If I'm not understanding, I'm sure someone else will give you a better answer. ![]()

It's impossible to sync your nook without 3g nor wifi connection... how will you get your books from your digital locker online without any wifi or 3g connection?

As the others noted, you can't do that. The 'my B&N downloads' folder contains only files that are wirelessly synced to your account.
Just to be sure we're clear: any NOOKbooks already in your NOOK's B&N Library won't go away if you're out of wireless range (be sure that they're all downloaded, though). The issue only rears its head when you buy a NOOKbook via computer and then need to download it to your NOOK. Since NOOKbooks aren't generally for sale outside of the US, this isn't much of a problem except for US military personnel (who are able to buy from anywhere if their account has a .mil e-mail address and a stateside billing address).

I just returned from Mexico and all books that were loaded on my NOOK prior to the trip were accessed just fine from there, even without WiFi.

Yeah, I can't reach my digital locker without being wireless. That answers it! It's impossible.
To be fair, right now and the way I currently do things is by downloading from bn.com and then placing the books under my documents in a folder called "B&N Books". Then I made a shelf from the same name and placed them all in there. It sucked hunting them all down, but it's the second easiest way. Thanks for all the help!
I'm in a different country with a gmail address and I haven't had any books disappear on me or anything. I do keep the airplane mode on to save battery though.
