Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Trouble loading books after 1.2 version upgrade

Just thought Id mention that after upgrading to version 1.2, none of my ebooks would show up in my documents in the nook memory, or in the micro sd card. I reformatted the sd card and copied them a second time, and some of them showed up, but many of them also didn't. I tried shortening some of the longer file names, and loading only books in pdf format without any results. The only thing that finally worked was reinstalling version 1.0.0, and then upgrading manually to version 1.1.1. Has anyone else had this problem? Just curious..

Re: Trouble loading books after 1.2 version upgrade

My Nook had an automatic upload of the newest version and then re-started. The book I was reading has reverted to page 1. I tried manually advancing to the righ page but now the whoie thing is frozen.

Before the software upgrade I had ordered a book and that has not yet arrived.

I'll have to call for help tomorrow. I am not a techie and may have to send it back if they can't guide me over the phone.

I am having the same problem.  I manually downloaded, and it seemed fine, but froze when I went to my library.  Have tried to soft boot, but can't make it work.
