Trouble with Free book

Right now I'm using the Nook App for PC.  I received a free Nook Book from an author when I purchased another of her titles.  She sent it as an attachment to an email.  If I double click on it, it launches my Nook App but the book doesn't show up on my library.  I tried copying it to my library on my PC, but again it doesn't show up in my library when I launch the Nook App.

Anybody have any ideas?

Re: Trouble with Free book

On my computer only books purchased from B&N and downloaded by the reader application automatically appear in the "ebooks" category under "my library". Even then the file doesn't actually download until I attempt to read the ebook or click the download button that appears under that ebook's options.

For publications obtained through other means I have to use the "ADD NEW ITEMS" button that appears on the tool bar when the "my stuff" category is selected. A typical Windows pop-up for "Browse" allows me to select the location and specific file I want to read in the Nook application. Those publications are then copied to one of the reader's folders and listed under "my stuff" and with other material under "all items". Unfortunately that list shows a generic grey "Barnes and Noble" cover instead of the book specific thumbnails that show for books listed under "ebooks".
