Why is Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident not loading?

I bought the family bargain nookbook of day, Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident, a day or three back, but it will not load on my Nook now will it download to the Nook reader on my PC. What's going on? I thought there might be server problems but have subsequently had no problem getting nookbooks from B&N, except that this one title will download to neither Nook nor PC.

Does that ePub show up on the Windows Reader application's library listing but not download when you click the "download" button? Or does it fail to show up in the PC reader app's list after sycronization at all?

Have you tried turning the reader all the way off (NOT the sleep mode with the graphics left on the screen) and then back on?

Does that ePub show up on your account when you list the contents of your B&N purchases visiting the B&N site with your web browser? If it does, have you tried archiving that ePub and subesquently unarchiving it? Have you received the B&N email confirming the "purchase" (should even occur with free/$0.00 books)?

Version numbers for the hardware reader's firmware (use the "settings page to view) and the PC reader application?

The book shows up in the PC application. Most of the time B&N purchases download automatically on my notebook PC, but require clicking on the Download option on my desktop. In neither will this title download, and when I try I get the message "This title is currently not available for download for this application. (Download 2138)" I have three subsequent purchases which have behaved the usual way, no problem.

The title also shows up in my B&N Library on the Nook itself but is not downloaded, can't be downloaded, and can't be read.

I tried your achive/unarchive/synchronize PC application solution and it doesn't work.

I even tried your powerdown method. The Nook Just Took a Moment for several minutes and is now not giving me any B&N Library listing. "Check for new B&N content" was grayed out for a while but is black again, but the Library still shows "No items". This sort of thing has happened before and I doubt it's related to this particular title, it's just the Nook breaking down. I have a spare battery, so maybe I'll try that when I get too frustrated.

Curiously, no, I don't seem to have gotten the usual email receipt.

Software version 1.7.0, which I assumeis the last released for the rusty old Classic.

Artemis Fowl; The Arctic Incident (Enhanced Edition)  

This is an "enhanced" eBook that will only work on Nook Color or Nook Tablet (as clearly listed in the description).

So that may, or may not be what's causing the problem. When shopping for eBooks check the space between the price and the "Buy Now" button on the book's detail page for a list of compatible readers. Those 13 digit numbers in the links may correspond to part of the file name on the computer or hardware reader.

Please let us know which version you bought.

I don't know if calling customer service would prompt CS to allow a refund on the enhanced version for a customer that doesn't own a Nook Color or Nook Tablet.
