Since 1997, you’ve been coming to to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

eReader titles fixed -- thanks software engineers!

[ Edited ]

[This is mentioned in passing in another thread, but I wanted to make it prominent both to emphasize that the problem is fixed and to thank the coders....]

Just got around to checking this, but I discovered that the eReader garbled title text problem has been fixed with v1.2.

I uploaded a few books with known title display problems and all now display the title -- and the book formats properly.  :smileyvery-happy:

So I uploaded about half my 200+ eReader volumes.  All are displaying titles and all format properly.

Thanks, coders!

P.S.  For those trolls who just have to have something to cry about, authors do not display for some of the books.  Personally, I don't really care but ... hey ... gotta throw a bone to the whiners.  :smileysurprised:

It is also worth mentioning, that aside from many of the authors not displaying properly, some of the titles still don't actually have the title displayed correctly either, but it displays the actual file name rather than the garbled illegible mess it did before, so it's still an improvement.

Overall, a big step in the right direction for those of us with vast libraries, but I think they need one more iteration to clean up the reading of authors and pick up those few titles that are only displaying file name and no title or auther.
