I also had this problem on Tuesday when I tried to download a book I had pre-ordered. After several attempts of getting the message that the network was unavailable, I just left my nook with the airplane mode off and set it aside for awhile. I checked back later and the book had been downloaded. I guess they must have fixed the issue by then. I downloaded a book this morning and it went to my nook right away.

As of Sunday June 10 we are still experiencing the download/sync problems.
Spent 30 min. with customer service yesturday, have attempted numerous reboots and still not working.
Is the problem still being worked on your end?
