Re: nook Update V 1.2 is Now Available!

I was just curious if ALL your pdf files had titles?  I am just concerned that after reading through a lot of these posts that the commonality is that people had pdf files in their library.  I saw earlier that there was a post saying how to fix pdf's with missing titles to a related issue of not being able to access My Documents.

Steps:

1.Open the PDF file on your computer using Adobe Acrobat.

2.Click on the File menu.

3.In the File menu drop down, select "Properties".

4.In the window that opens right after, under the Description, type in any text into "Title" field.

5.Click "OK" button.

6.Again from the "File" drop down click on "Save" to save the changes that you have made a second ago.

7.Sideload this file into the "my documents" folder of the sdcard on the NOOK.

Did you try this fix and did it work?  Just curious...

Re: after update, nook cannot connect

@Blaezeakavan,

There is an upcoming nook update that will continue to improve nook performance to provide enhanced overall reading experience and in-store connectivity for nook customers to enjoy exclusive content and promotions in Barnes & Noble stores.

FYI...The upcoming update is looking more like mid April but it is not "set in stone" as of yet.  I will keep the boards posted.

Re: nook Update V 1.2 is Now Available!

big question for all the calibre users.  i just started the process of organized my nook pdf documents to my liking. i've noticed within my books this message popping up, "create pdf files without this message by purchasing novapdf printer" i would really like if i could get them off my books and just have texts from the book by the authors only.

has anyone else had this issue and what did they do? i actually bought the novapdf, but have no idea how to use it.

thanks in advance :smileyhappy:

Not sure why you are using Novapdf.  As far as I can tell Calibre is not using it.  Probably once a document is encoded using novapdf the message is semi-permanent.  And for Nook use you probably want to go to epub's not pdf's.

I'm sorry you're having a problem; however, this is an old thread with v1.2.  You may be better off to start a new thread and describe the problem you're encountering
