I have the Nook PC application running under Windows 7. I was doing some experiments with metadata, changing the opf file, and used a couple renamed copies of one title with some variations in this file. These were non-B&N titles which I added to Nook for PC in the "my stuff" section. Now I'd like to get rid of these listings, but they apparently can't be killed, even after I've deleted the actual file. Is there any way to get rid of these or any other no longer valid entries?

After deleting the files from the MyFiles folder, use Windows Explorer, navigate to - C:\Users\Your Account Name\AppData\Roaming\Barnes & Noble\BNDesktopReader - and delete the ClientAPI.db file. When you restart the nook ereader program it will rebuild the API file and your MyFiles folder will be clean and the program will appear as it did when first installed.
Also, in order to see the AppData folder you will need to be able to 'see' hidden files. In Win 7 this is done in Windows Explorer by clicking on 'Organize', 'Folder and search options', then the 'View'' tab and 'Show hidden files, folders and drives'.

Thanks. Actually, I found a much simpler solution. The titles had been copied to my Barnes & Noble folder, but not within the folder named with my email address, where the B&N stuff proper resides. I simply deleted the copies I didn't want.
