Does anyone know how to delete items from the 'My Stuff' section of the 'My Library'? Also does Nook for PC always crash in Windows Vista?
Thanks in advance.

Deleting books from My Stuff is a two step process.
First, shut down the nook app, then using Windows Explorer navigate to the BN Folder in My Documents and delete the unwanted book/s from the 'My Barnes & Noble eBooks" folder. Do not delete the subfolder that is your email address or it's contents.
Next navigate to - C:\Users\(Your Name)\AppData\Roaming\Barnes & Noble\BNDesktopReader
- and delete the datafile "ClientAPI."
Restart the nook app, It will rebuild the ClientAPI and behave as if you had just installed the app.
PS: If you do not see the AppData Folder than you need to go to 'Folder and Search Options' under 'Organize' and check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' in the 'View' tab.

This solution does not work for Windows 7.

It does on my system and I'm running Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.
Make sure you are deleting your ebooks from the proper folder. If you had the old BN eReader software you should know that the NOOK software creates a new folder and subfolder for ebooks but does not delete the old folder. If you are deleting your books from the old folder than you can delete the ClientAPI till the cows come home and nothing will change.

No more need for the two-step process. Just delete the file from the "My Barnes & Noble eBooks" folder. The next time you open Nook for PC, that item will be gone.
As for Nook for PC crashing in Windows Vista, I have one computer where it does and one computer where it doesn't. I have no idea what the difference is. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling on the machine where I'm having the problem with no luck.

Thank you.
I had two copies of the same free (from Guttenberg Project) ebook showing in my Nook App.
I could not find a way to remove one of them.
Following your procedure, it worked. One additional step I had to take was to uninstall/reinstall the nook app. (Before the uninstall/reinstall I was still seeing that second copy on the PC in the Nook App. After reinstalling, the second copy was gone.)

'my stuff' does not appear on my B&N online library. Going to try the other method of going into the windows navigator when I get home. I have Windows 7, hopefully it works!

Make sure that there is nothing in the search box (clear the search box) and clicking on the x next to the space THEN clicking on All Items underneath My Library should make your library appear.

You mean I have to MANUALLY remove books from the Nook for PC reader?
This should be fixed ASAP and function added to the application.
The program itself really isn't that good and they need to find some better
programmers.
Sorry.... but, that's the truth

Can you clarify your statement? You wrote "...You mean I have to MANUALLY remove books from the Nook for PC reader?..."

This is WAY to complicated!
There should be some direct way to delete or remove a book from my stuff.
Had I known the s/w was this archaic I would not have purchased nook.
Kindle doesn't require this nonsense.

Hey, thanks. I've been working on putting together a ePub but wanted to make changes. Rather than rename the new piece I just overwrote it, but couldn't get the new one to load on Nook for PC. Needed to delete the old one (duh!), but I couldn't remember how to do that. Your post made it fast to do exactly what I needed. Thanks again.
