Nook Reader for Android 3.0.1.10 night mode not working.

I have the Nook reader for android installed on my Samsung Epic 4G, and the Day, Sepia, and Butter layouts work fine, but when I switch to night, all I get is a black screen.  It seems that the text doesn't automatically change from black to white, while in all the other layouts, text remains black.  I installed the reader on my girlfriend's Motorla Matrix and have the same problem, so I know it's the reader for Android, and not the phone itself.

I have dug through all the settings and not found anything to change the font to a different color, just different fonts and sizes.  Is this a known issue?  I haven't found any documentation in my quick search on this yet.  Thanks in advance.

I have a Motorola Atrix (not Matrix) and it works just fine.

There are some issues with other applications and the "screen density". Do you know how to root your phone and then change the density? I could help on the Atrix, but I have no idea on the Samsung.

I've tried it on several phones, and a Nook Color running CM7.1 Stable.  Not so sure it's screen density only as on the Nook Color, some books work, some don't.  Have to try more books on the samsung to see if it's book specific too.

I also have the Samsung Epic 4G.  Night mode works fine except for certain books that the publisher has hard-coded the text to be black.  Black text doesn't work very well on a black screen, although those books look fine in any other scheme except for night mode. I expect that might be your problem.

Right; I've run across some books in which only the italicized text shows up in Night Mode.
