Nook app on GalaxyTab won't open book

I have two books now that will not open in the Nook app on a GalaxyTab device. They are both large file size books. the first time I was able to get it returned, downloaded a copy of the book from a different source (Safari Books Online) and can read that in my Nook app just fine. the second one I have been trying to get to work. I'm being stubborn. I have tried downloading it several times. I have tried copying the book to the My Documents directory and opening it from there. However, the nook app will not see the book. Also, if I simply try opening the book from the My Files, I get a "No application available to perform this action" message and there seems no way to setup a file association between the epub file and the Nook app.

this is bordering on the ridiculous. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you looked at the books on the B&N website?  Does the description say "available on NOOK devices and apps"?

Some books are only readable on NOOK Color and NOOK Tablet.  Others are NOOK Color, NOOK Tablet and NOOK for iPad only.  I think there is at least one magazine only available to NOOK, not NOOK Color, NOOK Tablet nor NOOK apps...

Manually deleting the file off the tablet and downloading the book one more time seems to have worked finally. What a pain this has been.
