I have just started using the Nook for Android app, so I may be missing something that is currently available. If so, I apologize for wasting everyone's time.
I have 2 issues with this app, compared to the native e-reader on my Nook Color and Nook Tablet.
First, I was able to turn off the animated page turns in the app, which I really hated, but now I am left with sliding pages, which are almost as annoying. On the native devices, pages just change without any fancy effects, and I prefer that. An option to turn off the page slides as well as the animated page turns would be welcome.
Second, the app seems to override my screen timeout defaults. Am I missing something here? Is this intentional? Again, the native e-reader on the devices allows the screen to time out normally. Why is this not at least an option on the Android app?
