Turn Off Landscape mode when reading books?

I know Landscape mode for reading books was a much requested feature, but I am becoming really annoyed by how easy it switches to landscape, with the slightest tilt away from 90 degrees.  Is there any way to turn off the landscape option in the reader, without disabling the the Autorotate feature for everything?

There is a lock feature in the reading app itself. I'm trying to figure out if there's an easy way to trigger it, but here's the quick way I've got now.

In the reader, flip the device to landscape and back to portrait. You will see a little "lock" icon in the bottom right hand corner. Click it (the lock icon will close and a circle will go around the icon). The screen is now locked into portrait mode. Same deal for landscape.

Outstanding.  It works!!    It would be nice if that was an option in the Settings section for the Reader.

There is also the Quick Settings.  Tap on the time stamp in the lower right corner and quick settings pops up. One of the settings is to turn on and off Auto-Rotate. Of course this affects other apps not just the reader, but is easy enough to pull back up and change again.

Disclaimer:  This is from a NC owner, but I can't imagine it being different on a NTab.

The little lock worked for me until I updated Nook on my Android device.  Now I cannot get the lock to appear.  I can turn off the rotating view but then it is off for everything.  Is there an answer for the latest version?

This is the forum for the Nook Tablet.

As far as I know the Nook for Android application has never implemented the lock (although the Kindle for Android application does). Hit the Menu key, choose All Settings, then tap the Lock Page Orientation option.
