Please add a way to backup Apps save data to Nook HD.

Status: Under Review

Most games do not allow us to backup the save progress and restore it later.  This is extremely aggravating when a reset is required to resolve another issue and you have to start all over again.

So, in short, it would be wonderful if there was a supported official backup and restore method.

I assume Under Review is a good thing?  Not sure what that means as far as how far the idea has gotten but I'm glad to see it.

Add me to the list of people wanting to see this in the next update.

I agree with Rignes because it was extremely frustrating when I was on the last level of Angry Birds on my Nook Color last year and my Nook hanged. So I had to perform a reset on my Nook and I lost all of my files and app progress.

Also, Amazon Kindles have Whispersync for Apps. Your app progress transfers across all of your devices. For example, if you're on level 12 of Angry Birds on your Nook HD and switch to your Nook HD+, you will also be synced to Level 12.

I think this may be an option that can help out until B&N can implement a solution of their own.

Go to the Google Play store and search for Helium by Clockworkmod, or click on one of the links below. There is a paid version and a free version. I have not tried either yet. I just found it myself after doing a factory reset while on the phone with customer service. I don't think it was the proper fix for my problem, and from what I have read it seems to be their standard solution to most every technical problem. So it is advisable to do a backup before calling them for help with any problem.

It is important to note that your tablet does NOT need to be rooted in order to use this Helium app.

The paid version is just a product key purchase. You must also download the free version for it to work.

Hope this helps!
