New (?) device wishlist issue

Status: Open

I was aware in the past that the wishlists created on the devices were only stored locally on the device.  They were not saved online and when a device was reset, users would have to create a new wishlist on the device.  This was fine and dandy as far as I was concerned, except for when I bought a book BEFORE I took it off the wishlist.  This left a book on the wishlist that I COULD NOT REMOVE.  Resetting the device would fix this, as it erased the local wishlist along with everyhting else.

Fast forward to today.  I did a random erase/deregister because I am a complete geek and like to reset my computers/devices every once in awhile.  While setting up my preferences again, I went to go manually enter books into my wishlist.  TO MY ABSOLUTE HORROR I found my wishlist intact including all of my purchased books that could not be removed.

So, this brings me to 2 questions:

1)  Apparently the device wishlist is now stored online, possibly hidden with the profile database.  That's fine, and a sign of progress.  But can I please be allowed to edit this list online?

2) IF I BUY A BOOK THAT IS ALREADY ON THE WISHLIST CAN'T IT JUST AUTOMATICALLY BE REMOVED FROM THE WISHLIST?

You can't.  This is a bug that has been going on for over a year.  I have bitched and bitched about ad nasueam to Alex.  Finally, I gave up, returned my book and now I am the proud owner of an Ipad Mini.  Amazon's wishlist - doesn't disappear and I can access it from ALL my internet devices.

Ditto what Schwa said,

1) Would really like it if when you purchase something from the wishlist, it automatically disappearred from the wishlist. (After I've purchased it, it's no longer a "wish", it's done.) It looks like "newer items" added to the list and purchased are doing this. (Well the one I added to the wish list this morning and then purchased did in fact disappear from the wishlist, so far anyway.)  It's older items that can't be removed (before I was aware of this issue.) Purchased "wishes" from a year ago are still appearing on my list.

2) If you are going to store the wishlist with our profile somewhere, please give us the ability to edit the wishlist in someway.

Welcome to the NOOK Issue Reporting exchange. Post your issue and come back later to check its status, as well as commentary from myself and BN developers. - Alex
