Number of books on each shelf gone since 2.06 update

Since the update, when you open a shelf,it no longer shows how many books have been placed on that shelf. I own an NST and an HD, and with the loss of this feature, there is no longer any mechanism to sync my shelves between devices, especially as the 2 devices alphabetize books slightly differently.

Also bring back the function to remove my nookbooks (and see where they are shelved) back to the regular "area" as opposed to only being able to manage such things in the shelf area only.  I want to see where my books are, and I want to be able to remove them right from the main menu like I used to be able to. 

 

If I wanted to scroll thru a long long long list of books to shelve, I would have kept my 1st gen and my NST.  Obviously I do not which is why I got the tablet and now have the HD.
