Older purchases on my Order Status list do not show up in library

Status: Open

I posted this on another board last night but realized that this seems to be the correct forum so I reposted here.

I am trying to read a book I purchased last November.  In my order status list on the website I can find the order number for the book and the status there says "in your nook library".  It is not in my Nook library though.  If I look online at my library it does not show up (not normally nor archived).  It is also not showing on my Nook nor using the Nook reader for PC.  I've erased and re-registered my Nook Simple Touch and the probably is exactly the same.  It also does not show up on my wife's Nook Color, we share an account.  The book is still available as a Nook Book so that is not the problem.  Without compiling an extensive list to be sure, it appears that ALL of our older purchases are not showing up in the library.

Has anyone else run in to this?  Any suggestions?

Did you delete the book?  Was the book there when you originally purchased it?  What book is it?

Also, for future reference, the correct place to post this would probably be in the nook book discussion forum:

But no need to repost it there.  One posting is plenty.

Another one is

There are several others as well.

They were there originally.  I did not delete them, though I suppose my children may have.  If by chance my children did this would the book still be listed as "in your nook library" on the BN order status page?  If so, how do I get them back into my library?

If the books were deleted then they're gone and you'll have to repurchase them.  As for the order page, I suspect the "in your nook library" message is the one you get when the transaction is completed, and the order isn't updated again.

You might want to talk to your children - the delete option is confusing and it's easy to think that delete = "remove from device" when it actually means "permanently remove from account", though there is a confirmation message that tells you that.  It's possible that the books are gone because of a misunderstanding.

Can books be deleted from Nook Color or Nook Tablet?  I don't think I can delete them from my Simple Touch and my kids wouldn't be poking around on line in my BN account if they did delete them they would have had to do so from my wife's Color or their Tablet.

All the nooks allow users to delete books.

It's easy to imagine a scenario where people are sharing an account and one person has a book they've finished and want to remove from the device, so they click delete, not realizing that it will remove the book from the account as well.

If the book was deleted in error you can call B & N and they will restore it for you.
