2.1 Update Can no longer read Comics
Status: OpenMany are reporting "DRP Reader Failed" error message while trying to read cbz files.
Barnes and Noble Readability Enhanced Browser Can't Start After 2.1 update
Status: Open
The update to permit use of the Play store is a really good idea (it addresses my earlier Calibre Companion suggestion, for instance) but there are some issues.
For many customers the Article View feature in the stock browser was very helpful. Also, there was decent Flash support in that browser, which is now missing.
The stock browser is still in the /system/app folder, and the bookmarks from it are still on the device, but the program seems to have been hidden from the operating system.
Please reenable the stock browser for 2.1 customers. Many prefer that Article View display to the alternatives and need Flash support.
The stock NOOK browser in 2.0.6 had ArticleView which allowed me to read a web article in a single text-based format with large type and double spaced lines. The ArticleView Nook browser was removed and replaced by a Chrome browser without this capability in the Nook 2.1 update.
ArticleView was more than just a nice feature - it is nearly essential for those of us with vision problems. Barnes and Noble has taken a big step backwards for Accesibility (ADA).
BN: please allow us to reinstall the 2.0.6 Nook Browser from the BN Shop!
Please remember your older and vision impaired customers. The Nook HD's ArticleView browser and ePub book format were the reasons we chose the NOOK HD/HD+ over competitor's devices. We chose a Nook, not a generic Android tablet. Please respect our choice and please help us with our special accessiblity needs. Give us back the ArticleView browser, at least as an option.
HD v2.1 highlights not showing in off-white theme
Status: Under ReviewIt seems that creating a highlight in the "off white" theme (bottom left selection) will end up in the highlight not showing on the screen. Also, when creating a highlight in any theme and then switching to another theme, then the highlight will disappear also.
The highlight just does not appear on screen. It does show in the Content listing, and if you tap on a phrase you know is highlighted it will bring up the menu to remove/add note/change color.
Current workaround is to just not use "off white" or not switch themes but I would assume it should just work ![]()
1) When I open a book on my computer, its page size is different than when I read a book on the nook, an iPad, or my phone. Each device though only checks the page number from the previous device, and jmping to most recent page on the next device goes to a significantly different area. It would be good to correctly offset pages
2) As I purchase more and more books they tend to run over each other and it becomes hard to sort them all (unless I remember the specific title I am searching for). A user-driven category system (that correctly maps to different devices) would make it much easier to sort my books (technology, fantasy, humor, etc)
3) It took a very long time and google searches to find a place where I could leave feedback - not the case for apple, amazon, etc. I want to support this product and, even if you don't have time to read all the feedback, it would make users feel more involved if they even think someone is reading their comments. Please add a clear and visible 'Provide Feedback' and 'Report Problem' button in each device
4) Naturally B&N carries some publishers, Amazon others, and so on. Instead of having to guess what we will purchase, you could create an (easily accessible) area fo us to leave requests for which books we wish we could read on the Nook. Have us put in the ISBN of the specific books so you don't have to guess at what title we are talking about. Then you could just set an automated system continually monitor that and your business team will get clear feedback and cost-benefit analysis
5) I love Amazon for a lot of things, but I love B&N for books over Amazon. First because you do not censor books as Amazon has done twice in the past, but more importantly because you have physical book stores. I like going into a store, browsing through books, drining a coffee, and if I like the book then purchasing it - for my nook. My bookshelves are simply too full for more physical books. Why not take advantage of that to let the nook (or my phone, iPad, Android tablet) scan the bar code on the back of the book to quickly see if an ebook is available? The technology is out there and available from a number of free aps, impulse purchases would be more common, and you would gain suggestive feedback (if GPS or local network is enabled) which purchases are made as a result of seeing something in a B&N bookstore vs. other means. I'm sure marketing could come up with a ton of info they would love as a result
6) Since the main call to fame for the Nook is the presence of physical stores, you may consider closer tie-ins between the Nook and the physical stores. Eg. checking store's inventory for physcal copies of a book a user may want to browse, scaning a book in a store for suggestions of other books in the store to look at / find out which the 1st book in a series is, scan in purchased physical book barcodes to get reminders of what you already have / when a new book in a watched series is released, maybe on the splash screen showing when something interesting is happening at the nearby physical stores (author visits, group meetings) etc. Stuff to bring the two experiences together and promote both as a result. The Nook won't compete with the iPad and Android tablets, don't try that as the primary concern, focus on what the Nook already is best at and don't forget most of the time we will use non-nook devices (because my phone is always in my pocket, my computer has a giant screen, and so on)
Please add page numbers back to the NST/G table of contents.
Website Nookbook Wishlist
Status: Under ReviewThe Nookbook wishlist on the website still isn't working properly. The only way I can see books I've added after January 2012 is to sort by date and then sort by date again. It's been this way since it was "fixed" earlier this year.
Many posters are heaving difficulty with losing shelves.
One one of the two occasions I lost my shelves (prior to 2.05), it occurred when I used Open Explorer to delect a.doc file I had converted (on the HD) from a .pdf file (using the Office app). I was not hooked up to the computer at the time. Simultaneously, the HD accessed my SD card, even though the file was stored on internal memory. At the time, I thought there might be an issue with either Open Explorer or the Office app, as I was able to recreate it 3 times.
On the other occasion, I was hooked up to the computer like both Compulsive and Juniona, and deleted a corrupted book I had just sideloaded through Calibre; on that occasion, I thought the issue might have been my fault because I may have deleted before I actually closed out the ebook. Again, although all my sideloaded books were on internal memory, the HD tried to access the SD card right before the shelves disappeared.
5ivedom also lost shelves when deleting a scrapbook while connected from the computer. I know Juniona's books were on her SD card; were yours Compulsive?
Others have reported losing shelves when adding a child profile.
It almost seems as if the HD gets mixed up regarding which drive to access in these situations.
Some have also reported losing shelves when turning the HD off and restarting; I'd be curious to know what occurred right before the shutdown and restart. For those reporters, at least one did not have an SD card installed.
Archive has no back button in 2.0.6
Status: OpenWhen you enter the Archive section through the Library on an HD/HD+ there is a nice back arrow at the top left that brings you back to the Library.
e.x I tap Library from the home screen, tap the navigation options in the bottom left corner, and tap View Archive. To go back to the Library I simply tap the back arrow at the top left.
Prior to 2.0.6 the Apps menu had a back arrow that brought you back to the Library. This was removed in the most recent update, but the removal of that back arrow means that when you enter the Archive from the Apps menu there is no way to navigate back.
ex. I tap Apps from the home screen, tap the navigation options in the bottom left corner, and tap View Archive. There is no way to navigate back to the Apps menu aside from going all the way back to the home screen.
Just need that back arrow back when you're viewing the Archive from the Apps menu.
A persistant back navigation would fix all of this as well... Just saying.
Number of books on each shelf gone since 2.06 update
Status: Under ReviewSince the update, when you open a shelf,it no longer shows how many books have been placed on that shelf. I own an NST and an HD, and with the loss of this feature, there is no longer any mechanism to sync my shelves between devices, especially as the 2 devices alphabetize books slightly differently.
I've got no way to help improve the product that I not only support by purchasing, but also by selling. There is no clear method for users to express their wishes to make the Nook better.
2.5 Year old goes on spending spree when parental controls have SHOP DISABLED for child's profile
Status: More Info NeededI have 9 issues to report. I will post them 1 at a time. some may be functionality choices--for whatever reason--, several are security, a couple are complaints, but most are issues.
We have a NookHD, have passcode set for adult profiles and parental controls limit our son to his apps, nothing else....so when I started seeing charges for games and additional apps on my bank statement....that my wife and I didn't pay for--- I started investigating....and when I found that all of the apps I tested from a restricted profile (that disabled SHOP) were allowed to call the function to display the shop screen for the additional software linked or advertised within a game/app...I was shocked...and my son was happy because 2 clicks later he has circumvented the programming expertise of the nook parental profiles.
As a parent I am completely dissapointed. As a developer I am shocked, and as a consumer, I chose the Nook for 3 specific reasons, one being the profiles/parental controls. And this issue has been enough for my wife and I to consider demanding a return/refund and to invest in a competing product.
My testing found children's books that advertised another book (and linked to the shop screen for that book would limit the shop screen (showing the details of the book) to allow for a sample only...whereas an application would allow the child to buy it by clicking buy-confirm.
Thank you for addressing this concern.
Sincerely,
uwh
What is the plan for fixing the CC dings with I buy an ebook with a gift card?
When I buy a book I understand you hit my CC for a few cents (usually 1 - 4). After acknowledging that the CC is valid it should come off. Instead those pennies are being deducted from my order total and the balance is being charged to my gift card and my CC statement comes with a bunch of 0.01 charges. I'm putting together a spreadsheet with all these charges and this has been going on at least since August of last year, I still have to go back to Feb. 2010.
Yes I have removed and readded both credit cards and gift cards, as was suggested by customer support. She has no other solutions except 'check the account after every purchase and call us when it happens'. That does not sound like a solution but like something is broken.
It used to work so any idea when it will work again?
My HD+ was updated with newest version of the software 2.0.6 today.
Following the restart, my profile (the only one on the device) could no longer access any Apps.
This happened to me when I updated to 2.0.5, so already an issue known to B&N. WHY AGAIN?!!!
Apps still there, as listed under setttings>applications, but not under library or from the Apps button on home screen.
Accessing edit profiles>manage content>Apps I was able to reinstate access to stock Apps. Not to any of the purchased apps, which weren't listed.
Purchased Apps can be accessed via the hidden apps drawer - go to Apps page & tap the word Apps at the same time as holding down the volume up button.
You surely don't expect me to do this every time I want to use an App?
Deregistering the device will 'bring the Apps back' but I will lose my sideloaded version of Flash, so I am not willing to do that. Being in the UK, no flash in B&N shop for us & most of our key websites (BBC, ITV, Youtube) need Flash. Not to mention having to set up all my login details for 20+ internet accounts yet again.
So a less destructive solution, please.
Thank you.
When I look at Library My Files Books I cannot see what the sort order is. And if I switch between Title
and Most Recent there is no difference in the book order. As you might imagine this makes it almost
impossible to find anything.
Yes, I know I can search but searching does not allow shelving.
Angry Birds 3.0 update not available
Status: OpenHD+ Library Viewing and Sorting parameters
Status: Under ReviewThe current sorting & send to the cloud options for viewing the HD+ library is very cumbersome. The NC's was way better and this isn't saying much for a brand new ICS based system.
I would like to see several options added to the sort... besides single sort option of by recent, or by title , or by author consider letting the HD+ library have an option that would display the by Author by Title on separate "shelves" like it did in the Nook Color as a wee bit faster option to look up a book. The best would be to have an option to view by title or author by an alphabetic list that would take you to the items that start with that "letter".
I would also like to be to view the library without the in the cloud items showing.. The options on the library viewing has look at archive ... have the sent to cloud only display on the archive screen. Also on the HD+ since the 2.0.5 update I can go to manage my archived items but "redownloading to the device" is no longer an option!!! I have to either unarchive the book via my old NookColor and/or log into my account via a PC and unarchive it so I can get an archived item back on my Device.. Please fix this!!
HD+ - Library, My Files - Sorting by Title is broken
Status: Under ReviewIf you go to Library, then My Files, and select the ">" sign to the right, you see the list of folders that are currently on the device. But if you try to use the "Sort by Title" feature (bottom left hand side, second from the left), the order never changes. Oldest folder is always first, most recent is always at the bottom. Makes no sense. And makes it difficult to find things. Please look into this. Thanks!
Shelving Bugs - Post .2.06 (plus 2 prior to 2.06)
Status: Under ReviewWith the 2.06 update, you no longer have the abilty to remove a book from a shelf from the " books" section of your library; this option is now only available within individual shelves. This bug greatly impacts one's ability to tell if a book has been shelved or mis-shelved.
Additionally, if you tap on "add a book" , and you determine the book you wanted to shelf was already shelved where you wanted it, there is another bug that won't allow you to tap outside the shelving option box to cancel the shelving action. You are forced to put the book an an improper shelf. Then, because the "remove from shelf" option is no longer available within the main book section, you have to go within a shelf to remove the blasted book. This second bug has been present since the HD line was introduced, but we posters have been negligent in reporting it. This ability to tap outside the shelving option box always worked perfectly on NC and NT.
The final bug with shelving is the loss of the ability to shelve books from a search. This was a feature in NC and NT, and I can't conceive the loss of this ability was intentional. The ability to shelve from a search allowed users to shelve more efficiently.Of course, it could be enhanced by enabling a "shelve all" from a search option.
NOOK Friends Activities Issue with wrong book matches
Status: Under ReviewThis is a repost from another group. It was suggeted I post it here.
With the latest NST software release, there was more emphasis on this feature.
Problem is, it's mis-identifying books in a disastrous, inappropriate, and offensive way.
My teen daughter (also a NOOK owner and Facebook friend) grew up reading the Warriors series by Erin Hunter and liked it on her FB page. When this translated over to her "activities", it shows up as this book: Warriors by Cain Berlinger. This is erotica, I believe of the gay male variety (based on the description).
(Hope this is not a duplicate -- I spent 15-20 minutes entering text using the HD+ but it seems to have gotten lost when using the [post] button)
The 2.0.6 HD/+ update activated the widget capability and supplied a set of stock widgets.
The only one that caught my interest is the one that displays a summary of the calendar.
Unfortunately, the Calendar application itself is still unusable in stand-alone mode. Not everyone has access to a corporate Exchange Server account or the equivalent!
Please consider updating the Calendar application so that it can be used as a personal appointment/schedule book without needing to be linked to some third-party server application. Even my decade old WinCE PDA has a stand-alone calendar capability!
Alternatively, B&N should provide a compatible calendar server, linked to one's B&N Nook account credentials, as a free feature to go along with the stock calendar application. It might even be possible to use the Friends list for purposes of sharing schedules with others.
Note that I do not ask that the Nook be capable of synchronizing with a (non-Exchange) desktop Outlook (calendar and contacts) though that would be nice... The cross platform design just seems more than one could expect (unless M$ themselves provide the synchronization utility).
I only ask that the calendar application itself be made to run in stand-alone mode for those of us without an external server in the loop.
Page 6 of the quick start guide shows device/cloud buttons on the top of the screen. I am running firmware 2.05 and do not see these buttons. My books view in the library shows all my books (1805). The books that have been downloaded to my device are missing the download arrow. There is no easy way for me to see only the books I have downloaded to my device. If there is something I am missing please let me know.
Thanks
Initially I was happy with this player - until I didn't use it for more than a day. It then (apparently) shut itself
off and I lost my position in the 2 hour recorded radio program I was listening too. This is bad enough with
music but an absolute deal breaker with audio books My $30 MP3 player does a better job of maintaining
its position between sessions.
This needs fixed. Believe me - not everyone listens to their music one song at a time in shuffle mode.
Some of us are a little more serious about it and there ARE those who would like to listen to audio books
without keeping a dairy.
Is there a MP3 app for the Nook HD+ that maintains position in what is being played - no matter the length
of time between sessionsor do I have to pull out my $30 MP3 Player everytime I pick up my $300 Nook??
I just bought the book Imager:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/imager-l-e-modesitt-jr/1100357019?ean=9780765360076
According to the product details, the book has 488 pages. I know that the nook version will sometimes show different numbers of pages depening on font and text sizes etc, but on both my simple touch and on the pc reader app, it shows this book as having 1339 pages, and when I hit the next page button the "current page" indicator will skip up by sometimes as much as 3 or 4 pages.
3 day old 'certified' Nook freezing and you will charge me $20.00 AGAIN for so-called 'insurance'
Status: OpenI had the 1st gen nook, which died just before the 1 year warranty. Was replaced with a new Simple touch. After almost a year, had problems with screen freezing. Store support couldn't fix it even after hard reset, so was given another one.
I paid for the 2 year plan with that one.
After less than 4 months, screen freezing again!
This time, the store didn't bother trying to fix it - just gave me a 'certified' reused. Ok. AND MADE ME PAY $20.00 FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS BECAUSE IT IS SET TO THE SERIAL # AND NOT THE USER!!!!
And guess what? After having this 'certified' Nook for 3 DAYS, it is frozen again. I can't unlock. It is fully powered and still won't unlock. I did manage to get it to power down by holding the button for about 30 seconds and it is still locked.
I am totally fed up and am glad that most of the books I have on this thing were free friday or sale books, because if BN makes me pay for the two year plan again, I WILL switch to the Kindle. My husband has had his for a few years and no problems.
Give me one good reason I should stay with the Nook?
One issue im having with Chrome in the update to Googleness.. Even though its unchecked, Chrome does NOT tend to load the mobile/tablet version of websites even with the Load desktop version option unchecked... Some websites are not very usable (cough MSN/Hotmail/Outlook) when they display in desktop format... The browser option to switch formats is broken...
I have followed the update instructions meticulously, but my nook does not recognize the file or update the software. I have downloaded the update file twice, and I have tried installing it to my nook from 3 different computers with the same result. OTA update is not an option for me.
I have contacted support chat and was instructed how to install the update as I had already done according to the instructions on the update page.
Please help!
When opening Google Voice on the Nook HD+, it starts to load the inbox and then crashes immediately. It does this with complete regularity. This is not an isolated issue: http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/NOOK-HD-HD-Support/Nook-HD-v2-1-Google-Voice-crashes/td-p/1454619
Nook HD unable to take screen shot after 2.1 update, QuickOffice Pro, and icons
Status: OpenWhile I'm overall quite pleased with the 2.1 update so fat, thre are a couple of issues I've run into.
First, the method for taking a screen shot - holding the n button and pressing volume down no longer works. I'd much rather have that functionality restored than have to resort to a 3rd party app.
Second, on my Nook Color, I had purchased QuickOffice Pro, but lost access to that app when moving to the Nook HD. After the 2.1 update, The Play store lists Quick Office Pro as compatible with the Nook HD.
What I want to know is why hasn't this app been approved by B&N for use on the Nook HD? I do not intend to buy the same application twice, especially when the same app is 3 times the price on the Play store.
Lastly, and this may be more of an issue you need to work with Google on, is that the icons for apps in the Play store are for the most part, noticeably lower resolution than the native nook app icons. The look blurry by comparison. It's a minor annoyance, but it detracts from the nice sharp dispay of the HD. I can only imagine it looks even worse on the HD+.
Just got the Nook HD+ a couple of days ago and the menus keeping popping up while I'm using it. I'll be reading and the bottom menu will pop up or the settings menu will suddenly appear. It's intermittent but quite annoying to try to turn the page or be trying to type and the menu appears and interrupts. I'm wondering if maybe I got a lemon or if this is because of the recent 2.1.0 update.
DRP Reader, Vanishing/Faile d Update Apps, and black bar.
Status:
Open
DRP Reader:
Whenever I try and open .cbz files, I get a pop up saying DRP Reader Failed.
Vanishing Apps:
Twitter vanishes every day and I have to reinstall it at least once a day.
Failed Update:
Nook prompts me to update an app from the nook version to google play, but then says the app is already installed when it tries to update it. This happens with Office Suite Lite.
Black Bar:
The wallpaper no longer fills up the entire screen on the lock screen. Instead, there is a black bar on the bottom.
I have not found all that is messed up now, but I am very unhappy with all the Google Junk that was forced down that I don't want.
My existing Games dont run now no matter what I try, so it may even have lost all my settings and make me start over, if ever it works again.
What happened to the Web Browser? What happened to all my Bookmarks/Favorites ? I do not like Google Browsers and Google Apps all over the place. I want the older Web Browser back. How do I get it back. I want the freedom to choose to use or not to use Google Apps.
I don't want to have to register or create accounts in Google or other Apps that I don't want to use. I want the freedom to choose.
You need to fix this newest software update, and give us back more control over our devices.
The new update has completely degraded the audio quality of streamed Bluetooth music such that the nook HD is no longer suitable to this task. The audio quality used to be fine--though it was not as good as a wired connection, it still worked well. Now the sound is as if it is underwater.
This is not strictly a BN thing, lots of andriod users report this on 4.2 phones. However, since the problem is well documented and a fix is readily available on the net, this probably did not need to happen.
The problem appears to be excessive bit reduction in the audio data. The result is a loss of signal at the high end and an excess amount of bass. Simple EQ cannot compensate for this since you cannot get the lost data back. The reduction in data is fine when using bluetooth for phone calls, where you want to cut out the high end and increase the bass. (Talk radio uses the same filtering to make the people speaking more understandable.) But this filtering is devistating to music. This compression algoritm should never be used on a nook, which cannot even be used to make phone calls.
The fixes out there do seem to work but require rooting. I hope we get a patch soon that addresses this so I can avoid rooting my device.
I posted this on another board last night but realized that this seems to be the correct forum so I reposted here.
I am trying to read a book I purchased last November. In my order status list on the website I can find the order number for the book and the status there says "in your nook library". It is not in my Nook library though. If I look online at my library it does not show up (not normally nor archived). It is also not showing on my Nook nor using the Nook reader for PC. I've erased and re-registered my Nook Simple Touch and the probably is exactly the same. It also does not show up on my wife's Nook Color, we share an account. The book is still available as a Nook Book so that is not the problem. Without compiling an extensive list to be sure, it appears that ALL of our older purchases are not showing up in the library.
Has anyone else run in to this? Any suggestions?
B&N overcharged my gift cards, again.. On April 19, gift card XXX1125 had $23.44 and gift card XXXX4796 (which was loaded in 4/18) had $25. I then purchased 4 nook books prices were: $14.99, $7.99, $.099, $7.99. $1.99. The total purchase was .$33.95. I should have a balance of $14.49 remaining, and currently I show no gift cards and a balance of $0. I called immediately to customer service on 4/19. It has now been 2 weeks and still no resolution. This is at least the third time this has happened to me. Twice with preordering as B&N will 'reserve' the amount of the preorder and supposedly when the book finally delivers it will 'release' any over charges. When I figured out what was happening the first time was over 3 months old and customer service said it was too late. The second time after I started to call daily, I finally received my funds back, but I had the gift card still showing a balance even though incorrect. Now, I show no gift cards, but since I was watching so closely, I know exactly what my balance should be. I guess I will need to start calling daily again. Luckily, I have the full gift card numbers this time.
I am really nervous if my credit card has been treated the same way.
im trying to pick back up on an e book i purchased about a year and a half ago. When i try to re-download the book, it says i have to purchase it from the Barnes and Noble store, only thing is im already more then half way through the book, and know i already purchased it. any suggestions on how to retrieve a VERY lost book?
I have a Nook Simple Touch less than one year old. The Quick Nav button (raised "n") has stopped working. Device is fully charged and I rebooted. The button is not stuck; it just doesn't respond when I press it. I can only wake up the Nook by lightly pressing the power button on the back but I cannot access my library or the Quick Nav menu
Since my HD was updated to 2.06, battery life has been cut in half. I'm now only getting about 5 hours of reading time, or about 3 hours of video viewing before I have to recharge the battery. If I accidentally leave wi-fi on, almost 50% of the battery charge is lost within a 12-13 hour period of not use.
NST/NSTG: Add option to turn off auto-download
Status: OpenB&N, you may consider this a "suggestion;" I consider it an "issue."
Some of us really like the Nooks, own more than one at this point, and purchase a lot of content. But that doesn't necessarily mean we want all that content on our NST/NSTG's.
Here's the issue. Whenever I turn on the wi-fi on the NST and do a sync, it automatically downloads my last 5-6 purchases whether I want them on the device or not. And the device doesn't have that much on board memory (it will hold a considerable number of standard epub books; but magazines and certain lengthy non-fiction titles are considerably larger files.) Yes, I can go through and archive items that I don't want downloaded to the NST (and then unarchive them later on the other device.) But that's taking away from my reading time, which in turn reduces the B&N purchases. (The other alternative is that I archive everything on the NST one day, sideload all my content and never turn on the wi-fi again.)
Really hope that you will "fix" this on the NST/NSTG. At a minimum, please incorporate this into the software for the next e-ink device.
Nook Color, Nook Simple Touch, And Glow Not allowing to shop for fiction fantasy books
Status: OpenTrying to shop for some new books I am unable to go to the shop and look at a list of books under many of the areas such as Fiction, Fantasy; and most of the others. Reported it and sounds like a new issue.
Because there are many apps not available for the Nook HD/HD+ we depend on the browser a lot more to access things like Facebook. This needs a little work. I'm on the current release: 2.06.
- The browser, not infrequently, either freezes or crashes/suddenly closes. When it freezes I have to restart it to get it to be responsive again.
- There are times where there is a field to fill in and the keyboard covers the field so you can't see what you are typing. There's no way to scroll so you can see or set up the screen ahead of time so the keyboard doesn't cover it. I've run into this on Paypal and Facebook to name a few.
- It can be very slow and jerky at times.
Those are bugs. Then there are usability issues.
I wish the bookmarks had an option to not show a thumbnail. At first I liked the feature but as my bookmarks grew it became a pain. I'd like ways to sort them too as well as to have folders to categorize bookmarks.
I'd even like a CHOICE of browsers - to be able to use Firefox or Chrome if I wish.
Don't know if this is the right place or not..but the Nook Talk Board seems to have misplaced the last few months of messages. At least that's what is showing both on my pc and my Nook. Last dated message is in Nov of 2012.
