I am interested in buying a subscription to Newsweek....but I see where it says 'will not include images'.
Well....even in a news mag, I like looking at the pictures that go with the story. If pictures contribute anything....print mags wouldn't bother with them in the first place.
Any chance that this is going to change?

SyJustice, I would not buy a magazine if there is a disclaimer that says "will not include images."

IIRC, Newsweek was formatted to be read on the original NOOK and not the NOOKcolor. That's why it says that. So I think Newsweek would have to create a NOOKcolor version for you to have what you're asking. If there are plans for this B&N isn't going to tell. They never do.

Ah, but there is no option for the classic Nook, only nook color.
So, if there aren't any images, why not put it out for the classic? I think they're missing out on a significant audience for article-based magazines (Newsweek, the Atlantic, the Economist, etc.) that are only available on the nook color. I'm only interested in an e-ink based reader -- why don't they want to take my money? Makes no sense to me. Even if they need to reformat it a bit to fit the nook classic's screen, that's pretty trivial expense-wise -- they'd easily make that back and more in subscription fees.

I have subscribed to Newsweek on the Nook Color since January and it DOES include images. B&N needs to update some of its descriptions!

Great. I was going to do a free trial of Newsweek to get the issue with William and Kate on the cover but didn't because it said it doesn't contain images. Now it's too late because the next issue is out. Can you buy back issues?

Does Anyone know if I can even download it for the regular Nook? I don't care about the pictures I just want the articles.

I"ve noticed that the BN do a poor job of selling their new product! When I search for apps, and magazines, on the BN site I find very little (and I'm an expert at searching). But if I search 'outside' of BN I find there is a lot more. I found out about "The Onion" on this forum. I could not find any Mahjong games on the BN site, but found it on the Astraware site. They are doing themselves a disservice with their poorly organized site!
