ISBN Question

Okay, so I self-published a book on Smashwords and went ahead and got a free ISBN from their site. Then, I uploaded the book to Amazon and B&N.

My book has a page on Goodreads, but the links to buy it from Amazon and B&N don't work. When I inquired, I was told:

"Except for Smashwords, those sites won't find it when searching by that ISBN. Two other editions -- one with the Kindle's ASIN and one with the B&N pseudo-ISBN13 staring with 294 -- should be created and combined with the existing edition."

Ummmmm.... can anyone help me figure out how to do this??
Thanks in advance!!

Re: ISBN Question

The ISBN you choose for your book from Smashwords, is only good for that particular version. If you want to purchase one, then add that to your book on BN and Amazon, then it would work the way you want. But to link from GR to your book, just use the ASIN given to you from Amazon and the psudoISBN from BN.

Hope this helps
