I started posting my books almost since PubIt first opened, and now I don't get sales. At first it was because I had no links between the printed titles and their ebook counterparts. Now it seems that indie titles have been shoved into the closet. To date I have not seen any sales in print and the ebooks have dropped precipitously. Is PubIt broken, or is there some other reason?

It takes a lot of promotion to make sales. I promote my pattern booklets on sites where people are interested in the subject of crocheting and knitting. I am making sales steadily, for what I sell. Things may have slowed down because it is not a holiday or for other reasons.

I messaged you on another thread too - but my sales have steadily been increasing. I do a lot of advertising with people I know like my genre, on message boards, blogs, websites, I haven't ever paid for advertising either (yet). I am an indie author, too.

No, I've tried all of that. I think people are turning to their local bookstores for a change. It's too bad BN won't accept independent titles to show in the stores. My books are available through Ingram but that does not seem to make any difference. I had sales up until March, and then suddenly everything dropped into a black hole. If I don't get more sales in the next three months I'm pulling out and going through Smashwords from now on. It's too bad, because I really liked BN but I'm in business to sell my books and this is not helping. Pretty soon, the big 6 will dominate the bookselling world again. I don't think that is fair.
