Chez...It appears create space is like Lulu for self-publishing.  Do you get the same kind of response as with amazon and BN.  BN seems to sell more even with sale report problem.  I believe they will fix it. Good luck!

Yeah.

Trying to be patient on this one, but not only have I not had any sales since Jan. 4, but I've yet to receive any money from B&N. They sent me an e-mail saying the money was sent Dec. 30, but it's yet to show up in my account, and e-mails to Pubit/B&N have so far gone unanswered.

So far I've had right at 2,000 sales on Amazon this month, but only 4 showing up for Pubit.

I'm just hoping this whole accounting/no money issue is related and will be taken care of soon, but the end of the next pay period is already approaching.

My patience is starting to wear thin. I understand difficulties arise, sometimes serious ones, and that's not what bothers me so much. What truly bothers me is the lack of response from B&N. I just feel they should be much more on the ball about communicating with their publisher/writers.

But maybe I'm just being whiny.

It is taking a really long time...and it is very depressing....They just weren't ready...That's the problem...and they are so flooded with complaints, they just can't get it all caught up...

Darkbow: Is there any difference in how you promote your books at amazon.  2000 vs 4 is unbelievable.  I had more sales at BN for same kind of books.  Please help understand that difference.Thanks.

Sales report needs to be fixed and I am hopeful BN will fix it.

drdln, I really don't do much differently between Amazon and B&N when it comes to promotions. I spend a little more time on Amazon's forums and the Kindleboard forums, but it's not as if I post there often, maybe a couple of times a week.

I've started to see some numbers on Today and Yesterday reports over the last couple days. However it's definitely not all of my sales (based on sales ranks of numerous products).

Still haven't seen anything added to the monthly report though.

Slight progress is better than none I guess.

One thing BN could do is let us know what's working just now and what isn't. I now regret not saving previous entries for Today and Yesterday, since they still don't seem to affect the totals at this point.

Also, I'm a bit dubious about using rankings. I just sold one book whose ranking is now at... 771,843. Which would be a pretty sure sign it HADN'T sold recently if I just went by that.

I'm still at zero sales since Dec 27th... over 225 books sold on Amazon. I was selling 20 to 1 Amazon over B&N in both November and December anyway... but ZERO this entire month?

What in the world is going on! It's Jan. 20 and I still have on idea what my sales are? Everyday Pubit is showing sales, but then they disappear. This is unbelievable.

How can nay small publihser or business person funciton with this lack of sales tallies?

I keep seeing sales for yesterday, but never any for today.  The yesterday sales also never get added into the monthly sales.

I noticed the same Kopper.  There are some sales on today and yesterday but nothing shows up in January sales. The last I have is Jan6.  I assume BN is still working on it.

Darkbow: I think the KB postings seem to be helping you.  I found out yesterday.  I don't know if BN has something like that.

The sales report still shows Jan 6th the last day for me.  I see sales in today and yesterday postings even if ranking is slightly lower from 15k to 18k.  I wonder if with more books added and sold, slight movement in ranking doesn't mean much.

This is becoming embarrassing to say the least. Since I've joined this thing, back in October 2010, nothing works properly. I have lost any faith in this joint. How a company like B&N left itself caught unprepared for the eBook revolution, it's a mystery for me, but I think it has something to do with the dinosaurs' extinction.

I, too, joined in October. Sold several books right off the bat...But it has been pretty much down hill ever since. I tried to find one of my books by title...and it took me three tries of waiting for forever the first time, finally giving up. Tried two more times, and it finally showed up on the thrid time. NO WONDER MY BOOKS STOPPED SELLING! They are almost impossible to find by title! I am VERY disheartened by the system. I had high hopes, at first. But they just can't seem to get it together. I hope they do. But it's not looking real good at this point. I even bought my own book...and the sale hasn't made an appearance yet.I am sure they are working on it...but it is starting to look somewhat serious...for anyone who is serious about their books selling here.

I've been scared to death I'm losing sales. Yesterday's sales show up, but then the next day those sales are gone. I still have sales only through the 6th of Jan. And I know I'm selling well because one of my titles got up to 135 in rank. I sold 114 yesterday (but who knows if there's more not counted) but tomorrow those sales will be in cyberspace. I hope our sales are accounted for somewhere. From what they are telling us, they are. Hopefully, it's just the reporting system that's off.

Not so sure...Had a friend buy one of my books earlier today...since I have zilch showing since the first of the year...It has not showed up in sales or rankings....gonna give it a little more time...But I would have thought it would have showed up at least in ranking by now...I think the entire thing is slow and way off... Hope I am wrong...for all our sakes...

My first book went online last week, but still not showing any sales. I know for a fact that some have sold due to people emailing me and telling me. Does it take longer for sales for a new account to show up?

Finally! Just checked my account! The sale that was made earlier by my friend is SHOWING! And I have two sales from yesterday...However, my monthly sales comes up blank. And my earnings come up blank. I also know there is no change in ranking on book I sold earlier today. So, if the sale had not came up, I would not be aware of it! No telling how many books I may have sold this month...But I, at least, have proof of three in the last two days! I made sure to  print it up! Good luck to everyone with this. And I thanks B & N for finally posting something of my sales!

My monthly sales show through the tenth, but they don't stay stable...and I have some yesterday and today sales, but they don't stay the same either.

And now I get an error every  time I try to enter a new title saying they are having problems.  No kidding.

Yes!  My daily sales are showing again.  My monthly sales are not caught up yet, but progress is being made.  I can't upload my latest title, but I am reasonably sure it has to do with site maintenance, i.e., someone is working on the site.
