Spacing and Font size

I am very close to publishing my eBook through Pubit. I wanted to make sure that I am using the right size font and spacing in between my sentences and paragraphs. There are cases when I am reading an eBook and there are little squares where words should be or missing pages and I do not want this to happen to me. I am using size 12 font with 1.0 spacing. I am also saving using Word 97-2003 Document. Does this sound right or should I use something else.

Re: Spacing and Font size

The only thing is, I would remove the 1.0 spacing, it might cause some problems. Set it to normal and you should be fine. Just don't expect whatever font you've chosen to show up after you've uploaded. Unless it's one of the six included with the nooks. But other than that, it sounds as if you're doing good :smileyhappy:

Congratulations on your upcoming release!

Keep in mind that the majority of e-readers can only display two fonts. One is their default font (a little different, yet similar for all of them) which is what they'll use no matter what fonts you set, but the one exception is a mono-spaced font. If you specify courier, it will generally interpret that as mono-space okay.

Re: Spacing and Font size

You can use single spacing and 1.5 spacing with no problems. You are doing it right by the save as. It's double spacing that causes problems. Good luck.

Please post after you upload and tell us how it went. If you have any questions, ask. We aren't born knowing this stuff.
