As compared to Amazon Kindle's 70%, Kobo's 70%, iBooks 70% or Smashwords 85%?

Smashwords is something of the scrappy newcomer in that mix, so they make an extra effort. Otherwise, 65 vs 70 isn't that great a stretch, though it is an interesting question.

The difference is 8 percent of your money.
If the IRS could tax you for 8 percent less, you'd take it, right?
Better example: its well known the ceiling for ebook royalties with traditional publishers is 25 percent.
So every dollar counts!
