Nook won't charge

I plugged my nook up to charge it and the red light came on. But when I looked on my nook it states itisn't charging.how do I fix it. I am very disappointed with it it always seems like something Is wrong and I hate it

Your charging cord may be broken.  If you can, take both your Nook and your cord into a local store and have them try to charge it with their cord.  If their cord charges, it's the cord.  If theirs does not, it's the Nook (most likely an issue with the port).  If this isn't possible, call 1-800-THE-BOOK and explain the issue.  If you're still under warranty, they'll send you a replacement and you can see if it works

I could not turn my NOOK on. The green light came on saying it was charged. I left the charger

on all night and when I first looked at my Nook the red light was on saying it was charging.It turned

green after I went to use it.

The screen is competely black and I  can't use it.

What could be the problem? Could there be a problem with the charger or is there a way to

change the battery?

Help!!
