File Issue RE:NOOK, ADE, My Documents/Digital Editions

I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue.  When I use Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) to load library books on my Nook Simple Touch, all goes well.  When I use ADE to "return" the books and then delete them (from both the library list in ADE and on my Nook) all goes well on the Nook: the book is gone.  However, the EPUB and ANNOT files relating to that book remain on my PC in the My Documents/My Digital Editions folder. Over time, this is beginning to accumulate quite a lot of files for items no longer on the Nook.

That is how ADE works it doesn't remove the file from the digital editions folder you have to manually delete the files.

Thanks. That's what my experience has shown but the comment from Adobe tech support stated quite the opposite.

Would you happen to know if the import.log and manifest.xml files can be manually deleted as well without causing any problems with the operation of Digital Edition?

just leave them, they adjust to the content in the digital editions folder just delete the books that are no longer readable.
