Power Adapter

Will I damage my NST if I use the power adapter that came with my Nook Tablet?

Re: Power Adapter

USB voltages are universal. The only problem is if the charger can't provide enough current your device won't charge. Given the tablet is more power hungry than the NST, you shouldn't have any problem. I use an old droid charger on my without a problem.

Are you referring to only the adapter or the adapter and the cable?  If the NT uses the same charger as the NC, then the cable won't work, if it's just the adapter you're talking about, I'll defer to more knowledgeable folks than I in this area.  I know it works the other way, you can charge the NC with the NST charger, it just takes longer.

Re: Power Adapter

Based on this description, I assumed it was a standard USB cable that plugs into the tablet charger:

Charge from a wall outlet using the in-box Power Adapter and USB Cable (charging time: approximately 3 hours from wall outlet)

Is that not correct?

The Nook TABLET uses a different cable with a slightly longer plug on the reader end.  It will NOT take a standard usb cable.

Your NST uses the standard micro-USB cable.  I charge mine with my cell-phone charger all the time.  I love that most electronics are finally going to that standard.  It's a shame that the Tablet had to be different.

Re: Power Adapter

I love it that I'm finally down to one charger, for my Blackberry, Bluetooth earpiece, and NST.
