I'm stuck. I have many books (epub) in Calibre and want to transfer some to my Nook2 SD card. When I do what seems like the right thing Calibre puts a check mark next to the books transferred but I can't see them on my Nook2.
I know this should be simple but... can someone give me step by step instructions?
I can manually drag books and covers to the SD card and that works fine but I'd like to automate the process and I'm sure Calibre can do it.
Please send help.

I use Calibre and had a problem at first with it even recognizing the Nook2. I had to have the lastest version of Calibre, and then had to change all my Metadata Plugboards to use "any device" because it isn't recognizing the Nook2 as a Nook.
I'm also using a SD card. I just select the books I want, go to "Send to device" - but the menu on the side. Not the default action. Then select "Send to Storage Card A".
It all appears there as it should.
Check that you have correctly formated your SD card for the Nook, but it should have prompted you when you put it in.
Be sure to eject your Nook AND your SD card from your computer before using it. Don't just unplug the Nook from the computer. I have to actually go to the SD card listing in My Computer and eject the card before it will work right on the Nook.
Maybe check the way you are sorting on the Nook. Are you viewing "My Files" or "All". If you are using a sort that maybe isn't finding the sideloaded books.

Thanks for the advise. The problem was that I didn't have my books stored on my SD card in the "My Files/Book" folder. The older books I had transferred before showed up on the Nook but new books I transferred didn't (I transferred the SD chip from my Nook 1 to my Nook 2) because the old books were in the root directory and not in the right place. Once I moved the current books to the right folder everything was fine. Now transfers work perfectly.
So, thanks for getting back to me and pointing me in the right direction. BTW, the latest version of Calibre supports the Nook 2 automatically.

I'm guessing you're using a Mac? I have a Macbook (Snow Leopard) and the latest version of Calibre (0.8.4) and has three Nook plugins installed. When the N2E is connected, it shows in Calibre as Device and Card A. When I select Send to Device, Card A, it works with no problem. The books appear in my N2E's library as expected.
The only odd thing I noticed was when I connected the Nook first, then opened Calibre, the books on my SD card were displayed as being in Main Memory. When I opened Calibe first, then connected the Nook to the Mac, they were shown correctly - on the card.
I can't replicate your problem, maybe do a full restart on the Nook and see if it helps.

I'm on a Mac as well and everything is now fine. It doesn't seem to matter which order I do things in (I think - I'll have to test to be sure but I've never really thought about the order). Calibre sees my Nook (main and sd) and puts an extra column on the left side showing which books from Calabre are loaded on the Nook. Obviously it doesn't show the B&N purchased books.
