If this is on the wrong board, I apologize in advance. I am English-Special Ed. High School teacher and would like to find available technology grants. I would love to be able to incorporate technology in my classroom, of which I have NONE! I have a desktop for grades, attendance, etc., but other than that, an overhead projector is it. SO, if anyone can help me with locating some grants, I would be very appreciative! PM's are fine as well.
Thanks!! Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Depending on the school and/or district size, there is a full time person who is in charge of finding and writing grant requests. In smaller schools the principal or curriculum manager will fill this role.
Federal Grants can be found here:
Each state has their own grants - for example, here is the website for New Jersey:
http://www.state.nj.us/education/grants/
Some k-12 Grants
Hope this helps - thanks for your participation!

Another idea is to google grants or technology grants and see what comes up. I know as a teacher myself that there is little time to go through all of the possiblities, but you might be able to get an able-bodied parent to help you out with locating possiblities and filtering through all that is out there.
