Addressed to the campus faculty (yes, another hat I wear):
Hi everyone,
The UW is conducting an eText pilot to explore replacing traditional textbooks with digital textbooks and material that can be read on smartphones, iPads, computers, readers, etc. As part of that pilot, UW IT is looking for faculty volunteers in textbook-based courses who would be willing to try electronic textbooks in their classes. The pilot starts in spring and runs through fall quarter, and UW IT will pay for software and eText costs as part of the pilot.
If you’re interested, you can read more about it at http://www.washington.edu/itconnect/teach/etext.ht
ml and/or send an email to help@uw.edu to volunteer for the pilot.
