Application Error at Start Up

I've been trying to run Nook Study on my laptop and desktop. My desktop runs on Windows 7 and installed Nook Study without a problem, but I've been unable to open the application on my laptop, which runs on Vista SP2. Everytime I launch Nook Study it automatically crashes and gives me an error that says, "The application has failed to initialize properly (0xc150002). Click OK to terminate the application." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing seems to work. I've even tried selecting run as administrator and setting compatibility to XP SP2, still nothing. This is fairly frustrating, as I'd like to be able to actually take the textbook I downloaded with me to class, so is there anything that I can do that I missed?

Is your laptop is 32 bit or 64 bit?
