So back in November I was trying out Nook Study. I had a few trial textbooks on it and it was great but I decided it wasn't for me. Now, with a new semester, I can't open Nook Stuy. It will not go past the Loading Library screen with the moving green bar. I can get into settings, I can sign out, I can change my password, etc. But in that window the Loading Library part of the screen with the moving bar is obscuring most of it. I have gone into my Nook account on bn.com and deleted all the expired books. I have modified my firewall settings so that Nook study can be accessed both in Private networks and Public networks (the modification was to add public).
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium with a 1.4GHz dual core processor with 4 GB of RAM.
What puzzles me is that the program WAS working and now it's not.

I too am having this problem. I had a E textbook for the fall semester Nook Study worked fine from August through December. My new class just started again I went with a Nook Study E textbook and tried to open nook study. It just sticks at the loading library screen. In reading this forum I found many others are having this issue. One person stated if they used another account they had no issue. I just created a new account and it loaded just fine. Before I did this I uninstalled and reinstalled the program downloading it fresh from the website. I restarted my computer between the uninstall and reinstall.
I have Windows 7 on an intel core i7 processor. I have 8 gb of ram and 1 tb harddrive.
Clearly it is not a computer issue if by just changing what account I am using the program works fine. I hope that this problem can be resolved quickly because I would not want to have to make a new account each semester. Thank you!

Here is the answer for users that have Win7 and get the cannot login error.
Please open your library on bn.com and remove any catalogs you may have in there. Then remove and reinstall the app and you should be good to go.
If you still have the issue please PM me and I will look into it further but this appears to be the fix.
