has anyone else had problems with simply starting the software on a mac? the first time i ran it, i got as far as creating a bn account. i successfully signed in at bn.com so it went through, but the software just hung there for a while so i had to force quit. ever since then, i've only ever gotten to the grey screen, mouse pointer turns to the spinning rainbow, and it stops responding. software only, not the computer itself. one time i decided to let it sit for a few hours in case it might start responding again on its own, but no luck.
my snow leopard is completely up to date. i've tried the simple solutions that i've come across... checked firewall, time zone settings, uninstalling (fully, i used appzapper), re-downloading then re-installing many times. i thought that maybe my ram wasn't enough but it's 2 gigs of fairly fast ram, and i've ran beefy adobe creative suite applications on this machine without issues.
i wasn't in a big hurry so i emailed for support thinking someone could take his/her time to figure out some possible solutions before getting back to me, but they just told me to call, which i'll do tomorrow unless i can get some suggestions here.
thanks

Hi,
Please do the following:
Delete a File called "activation.dat" under Adobe/Digital
Editions
Below is the path:
/Users/administrator/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions
Once the activation.dat file has been deleted, please restart your computer before downloading NOOK Study again.
Thanks,
Erin

Once the app fails at the start screen, right-click anywhere on the grey area and click on reload. This will get you to your library.
