the "nova advanced" from that company only as an 800 x 480 screen.
For me, a 7 inch device with a screen below 1024 x 600 is not interesting.

There have been 100 dollar Chinese tabs of abysmal quality for a long time.
This particular unit runs a MIPS processor, and judging by the comments on Engadget, the MIPS processors have lots of interesting compatibility issues.
I am guessing that Google favors this device because it's being sold in China more than because they expect it to compete well in the US market.
A US vendor who stocks the ICS/MIPS tab also has a 10 inch tablet for 170 bucks that uses a CPU which is known to support Android, at least, though the webpage describing that unit has been reported as a malware source....
