Recently bought a Nook Tablet. It connects everywhere but my home network. I am using a D-link DIR615 router and I have Comcast for my Internet. It shows up on the D-link router with an IP address and the correct MAC address. When connecting, the NT shows connected, but no internet. It then bounces back and forth between "Connected, testing" and "Connected, but no internet". I have tried just about everything, including turning off MAC addressing, turning off security, resetting router, and many other things. Does anybody know if there's a problem with hooking up a NT to Comcast internet? I have tried the Comcast forum, but they have not helped. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I've not had this problem, but others have reported that "forgetting" other networks in wifi settings sometimes help. This might be worth a try, particularly if you have many saved networks, particularly unused or little used ones.

No luck. I left only my network and B&N Store and still does the same thing. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try anything at this point!!

One thing that often helps is to lower the router speed from N to G.
You should also not use a space in your SSID (router name).
Make sure your router and the NT are using the latest firmware available.

Not only spaces but some other special characters are tricky. I had a customer take an apostrophe out of her SSID and she had no trouble connecting afterward.
Also I've noticed some nooks have trouble with speeds over 54 Mbps but I only have anecdotal evidence for it.

Thanks for the help. I slowed the speed to G and took out a dashed line in my SSID. It seems to work fine now. Thanks again for the quick reply and help!!
