Change Book Cover

Hello All:

I recently moved a book from my wife's Nook Color to my Nook Tablet. It was purchased from B&N on my wife's account on the Color and the Tablet is on my account. Thanks to people on this board I got it moved to my Tablet. I downloaded and used Calibre to help with that. On the Tablet now, the book has a generic cover in the Library and on the Home Page. In Calibre it has the correct cover. Is there something I am not doing in Calibre or is there something I can do on the Tablet to get the real book cover to display?

No, you are pretty much stuck with the generic book cover for sideloaded B&N ebooks, as they are DRM protected. You can add covers to non DRM protected books through Calibre, but not the DRM protected ones.

I did read you could refresh the epub in calibre and then the cover will come through. Have not tried it yet but read it around here in the last few days.

Thanks for the responses. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to change it. I did try the refresh in Callibre before I posted to no avail.

This thread is old, but I was searching for assistance in this area myself and came across a good fix! So I thought I'd put it here for future searchers.

If you "Convert" the book in Calibre, it pulls the DRM protection out of it and will update the book cover for your tablet.
