Your local library may have handout instruction sheets as does our county library system Also the local B&N store holds periodic instructional sessions which cover this topic, and they will email you a .docx file explaining the process if requested.

Thanks for pointing me to that FAQ. No idea how I hadn't come across that in my own searching. Of course, now I'm lost again. ADE is installed. My PC is authorized, and it recognized the NOOK when I plugged it into the USB.
Now is there a tutorial on what to do next? Can I find and borrow library books directly from the Nook itself, or do you always have to download via PC & then transfer through the USB cable? That seems a little cumbersome, so I'm hoping it's possible to do everything completely with the NOOK now that the required software should be there.

You always have to side load library books
