This is the forum for the Nook Tablet, not the NST/G.
But, to answer your question, it sounds like a defective screen if the line is always there. If it's still under warranty and you have a store handy, take it in. Otherwise, call Customer Service and have them replace it. If no longer under warranty, you're kinda SOL.
