I just received an email advertisement for the Nook. At bottom center there is a paragraph that says:
Get Organized
Our calendar, QuickOffice,
American Airlines apps,
& tons of others help
you stay on top of your
busy schedule.
Shop Now >
Does anyone know where to find the first thing mentioned, "Our calendar"? I have search high and low on the tablet and on these message boards. I can't find "Their calendar" anywhere.
Thanks,
Rob

There are two calendar apps in the app store, however they are from developers outside of B&N:

I like the Fliq Calendar because it is the same calendar that came installed on my Nexus S phone. I spent $29.00 with Mark/Space for the Missing Sync for Android (it was on sale) so now my phone, Nook Color and Nook Tablet calendars are all in sync with my Outlook calendar on the computer. Way slick...

For you folks using the Cozi calendar:
I use iCal on my MacBook, which actually points to GoogleCalendar(s). I know that I could just log in to Google and use GoogleCalendar via the Web, BUT I often am somewhere where I don't have WiFi access. So I would VERY MUCH like to have a standalone calendar that I can use to look up stuff and add to without a connection, and then have it sync once it has a connection.
Do you think Cozi will work like that?
Does Evernote have a calendar? (It'd be fabulous if it did.)

I like the Cozi Calendar a lot. I've used it for a couple of years. You can use it in "off line" mode if you're not connected to wi-fi, and you can sync it when you are connected. It has other tools as well like shopping lists (very intuitive to use), to-do lists, journal, etc.. I only use the calendar and shopping lists, but the whole thing is really well thought out and easy to use. Can't recommend it enough. I think it's free too, right? You can't go wrong.

Sadly, it (Fliq) wants to link to a desktop to synch. I wanted it to synch with my Outlook calendar over the net via the server like my phone does. I don't want to have to hook it to my computer to sync.

Well .... yes and no on DejaOffice. The app is free. The piece that allows you to synch your calendar with Outlook? $50.
It *might* be worth it. But it's not something I'm gonna just jump on before I try less expensive solutions.

Download the free 15 day trial of DejaOffice CompanionLink. You can get your contact manager filled up from your computer via the sync and you can experience the sync with DejaOffice Calendar. On about day 12 of the trial they will offer you a $10 discount. So, while $39 is still more than free you should consider that the family of DejaOffice Apps inculding a very well put together contact manager App (The only sync'able one for the Nook that I know of) is worth some money. I am using a paid for version of CompanionLink and it works fine. I was using Missing Sync for Android and there are some features of it I like better but, on balance I like the DejaOffice Apps better than the Fliq Apps so decided to switch.

flipster: this is from CompanionLink
CompanionLink has the capability to synchronize with folders on an Outlook Exchange server.
To configure CompanionLink to use your Exchange folder follow the steps below.
1) Launch CompanionLink Setup and click on the "Outlook Settings" button
2) Click on the Outlook Folders tab. This tab will take a while to come up as, when you click on it for the first time, it must read all of the folders on your Exchange server. Do not click Cancel. (You can manually stop Outlook from searching for Exchange folders by right-clicking the Outlook icon in your system tray, and clicking "Cancel server request".)
3) Select the correct folders from the drop-down menus. If you would like to also synchronize with the subfolders of these folders, put a checkmark next to the option to sync subfolders.
4) Click ok. With these options set CompanionLink will sync your handheld with your Outlook Exchange folders.
Hope this answers your network sync question.

We have now added Google Sync capability to Wallpaper Helper and that should provide you with the functionality you need. Plus - no hidden costs.

I was hoping to synch my task list with Google calendar, too. Is that already possible or is it in the works?
