I'm trying to buy a warranty for my Nook Tablet from Squaretrade but I don't know whether they would classify it as an e-reader of a tablet. There's quite a difference. An e-reader warranty would only cost about $55 with accidental damage protection included, but for a tablet they want nearly $100. I know "tablet" is in the name, but I'm still not entirely sure.

It should be based on the price that you paid for it.

The warranty provider should decide on the classification. Make sure you find out what is covered and not covered (eg, spills, drops etc).

I agree. You want to be sure you have the right coverage. So don't guess, call SquareTrade before you buy. In my experience they answer the phone quickly and know what they're talking about.

A Squaretrade rep confirmed I could take out an e-reader warranty since the device treads the fine line between e-reader and tablet.
