nook not charging on invertor

I have an invertor i believe they are called, adevice to provide clean power and my nook charger wont work with it. My computer works just fine with it, but not my nook. Why is that? Anyone have amynideas? I plug it in but the lights dont come on. I assume that means it is not charging, ilIf i am wrong can someone set me straight? Thanks in advance Carol

The power the inverter provides might not be within the range of what the nook charger requires.

Why don't you use the USB cable with your computer to charge your Nook through your computer and plug your computer into the inverter. It'll be slower but it'll charge.
