I had heard that this iPad was in the works, but I really wonder if the rumored price is accurate. Thoughts?

It would definitely be competition for several of the smaller tablets.  But I still LOVE my Nook Tablet.

Not a Retina display for that price. Maybe $299? or $349 as many tablets already in the $300'ish range.

Seen this before with companies. Months before release give out fake target price. Which in this case curtails 7" tablet sales as individuals going yep will wait and save for the ipad. And release rolls around and it's 25%-30% higher priced then first announced.
