Adding nookcolor Friends

I can't seem to get the whole adding friends to my nook color.

I go to my lib and touch lendme

touch the red bar that says borrow books nook friends beta

then I touch the add button type in friends name and email touch save

in my sent tab I see the invite to that friend.  That is it.

My friends never receives it and I have never receive her request as well.

Now I have made sure I was connected to internet, email address is double and triple checked and I have let the invite sit for a month.

Oh and we have been standing next to each other when we have tried to send a invite as well.

What am I missing.....

Well, it isn't necessarily working all that well yet.  It is beta.  Some people are doing ok adding friends, some aren't.  I have one friend added.  I have sent requests to others.  My nephew got an email with my request and added me, but he doesn't show as a friend on mine.  It says he doesn't have an account, which he does.  It says the same thing for others I have tried to add but that are not friends yet.  And I could have sworn I took a shower just last week.

I had to create a "gmail" email address and then a google account. Once I did that I could set up my google account in nook friends and actually started getting some nook friends.

This has also been happening to me! I can not seem to recieve or add any friend requests.  I was also sitting next to the person I was adding.  My other two friends, sitting right next to me, connected within minutes. 

Is it my Nook? Anyone have any answers?!?

It's not working for me either. Three of us have added each other as friends many times, but none of us has ever received the invitation. Before the upgrade, we were on each other's LendMe lists.  This is ridiculous. Either make "Friends" work or let us still use "Lendme." Now neither works. If I had known there would be this many problems I would never have suggested Nook Color as a Christmas gift for the three of us! PLEASE GET THIS FIXED!

I also had problems initially.  What made the difference for me was using the B&N email account instead of other email accounts. Once we sent requests to B&N email account everything showed up (friends and lendable books). 

We have not yet tried to borrow/lend books to each yet so don't know if there are problems with this yet.  Guess we'll have to experiment.

Unfortunately, I do not believe these books are Lendable.
