Apps Stuck in Downloading and Installing loop :( Desperate for help.

I have a nook color, fully updated to the newest version. I can only download 8 apps successfully without a problem. After that, other apps will download say their installing then download again and then won't even install and say they need to be downloaded again. I've factory reset my nook like 10 times hoping to maybe work out a kink that might be causing it. I just don't know what to do. I can put files on it fine, like books and pictures, but I would still like to have all my apps working again. Can anyone please help? I'm really at loss for words. Generally I can fix tech problems I'm having but this one just won't budge. Also I've deregistered numerous times....I'm so sad that I can't fix this.

It's probably due to not having enough free space.

1) List what 8 apps you have. There are certain apps that download extra files and end up using huge amounts of space. I can probably tell if one of those is the culprit. For Example: Large 3D games take up hundreds of MBs of space.

2) You will have to Archive some apps, ideally the largest ones.

3) Then restart your Nook.

4) Then new apps will download and install fine.

The other possibility is that there is some problem with your Nook recognizing free space. For that you'll have to go to a B&N Store and have your Nook repartitioned.

I have had the same issues especially since registering my daughters new nook tablet last week. I would love some ideas I have a 16GB microsd card in mine and it only has 5 books and 3 apps on  it( I archived them after seeing posts). I had 85 books and 20+ apps prior to update. Update on mine and registration on tablet were on same day. She has all the apps even the 4 new ones I have purchased. Me stuck in install/ download loop.

You have to follow the directions in my post above INCLUDING restarting your Nook.

That should fix it.

It has nothing to do with how much space you have on your SD Card or Nook. There is a 'Shop Partition'. And when that gets full the system won't install more apps.

And apps you archive don't count as free memory until you restart your Nook.

If that doesn't fix it then you'll have to go into store and re-partition.
