Change highlight color

When I highlight in a book, the default color is green. Is there a way to get it to default to yellow? I see a pulldown menu for changing color, but if I change to yellow, green comes back the next time.

I am also trying to find a way to change my default highlight color to yellow. . .is there a way to do this?

After you have highlighted the desired text, tap somewhere on the page by the highlighted text. A pop-up window comes up and allows you to add a note, remove highlight or change the highlight to light blue, yellow or light green

I have the same problem.  I use green for new charasters in twisting mystery stories.  Recently my default color is greenthe only color that I can use ... so now I cannot use yellor for great quotes or blue for major mystery cluses in the plots. In fact, I cannot get the blue or yellow to work at all the past three days when it was working in four previous mysteries fromthe same authors.  My nookk only 6 months old and it has been well cared for so I think I am am going to ask for a replacement.
